MJ's Doctor Charged With Involuntary Manslaughter

The late Michael Jackson's physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter by the Los Angeles County District Attorney for his alleged role in King of Pop's death last June. Jackson's death was initially ruled a homicide in August, after toxicology reports revealed that he died from a lethal dose of the sedative Propofol. Murray previously admitted to giving Jackson the drug in interviews with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Beatles Get Covered By Roberta Flack

The Beatles will soon receive a tribute from Roberta Flack, who is planning to release an album of their songs. The "Killing Me Softly" singer, who once lived above John Lennon and Yoko Ono in New York, told Spinner about the project and her progress. "(It's) all Beatles covers," she said. "They did 1,088 songs, so I'm gonna do about 14 of them." The album, which will be released on April 21, has yet to be given a title.

Yoko Ono And Band Give NYC Public Dress Rehearsal Show

Yoko Ono and her Plastic Ono Band have responded to the sold out demand for their upcoming performance at Brooklyn Academy of Music's Gilman Opera House by scheduling a "dress rehearsal" show. The rehearsal show will be held on February 15 and will feature Ono and her core band, composed of Sean Lennon, Yuka Honda and Cornelius (Keigo Oyamada, Hirotaka Shimizu and Yuko Araki).

Perry: Tyler Is Still A Part Of Aerosmith

Frontman Steven Tyler is still a part of Aerosmith, according to guitarist Joe Perry, even though the band is looking for a new singer. "Steven hasn't quit the band, nor have we sacked him," Perry told the U.K.'s Classic Rock magazine. "We're taking the attitude that he's going on a vacation from Aerosmith." "How long will (sic) Steven be away? He says it'll be two years, but I believe he'll be back a lot sooner," Perry said.

Madonna Holds Secret Dance Audition

Madonna held a secret dance audition late Wednesday night at the SL nightclub in New York's Meatpacking District. The New York Post's Page Six reports that more than 30 dancers showed up, formed a circle around the singer and conducted a dance-off while her DJ, Tony Touch, worked the turntables. "She was looking for new dancers for her upcoming tour," a source told the Post. "It was pretty epic. Some professionals were doing flips and spins . . . "

The Who Tear Through Blistering Super Bowl Halftime Set

The Who rocked the Super Bowl halftime show in Miami on Sunday, treating a packed Sun Life Stadium to a medley of their greatest hits. Backed by drummer Zak Starkey and bassist Pino Palladino - in addition to keyboard player John "Rabbit" Bundrick and Simon Townshend on guitar - surviving original members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey kicked off the performance with a quick take on "Pinball Wizard" before ripping through "Baba O'Riley."
