Billy Joel & Stevie Nicks Bringing Co-Headlining Show To Phoenix

Rock and roll icons Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks are set to co-headline a show at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.

The show is set to take place on December 8. Tickets for the concert go on sale to the general public on March 24 at 10 a.m.

The show will mark the first time the two have performed on the same stage in Phoenix. Joel will be performing for the second time at the stadium. The first was in March 2019.

This is the ninth joint concert the pair has announced on their recently announced co-headlining stadium shows. The shows are titled "Two Icons, One Night."

Joel and Nicks kicked off the series of shows last week at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Def Leppard Drummer Rick Allen Thanks Fans For 'Overwhelming Support' After Assault

Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen recently took to social media to thank fans for their overwhelming support and good wishes after being attacked outside his hotel in Florida on March 12.

"Thank you everyone for your overwhelming support. Your love and prayers are truly helping. My wife Lauren [Monroe] was thankfully not with me at the time of the incident. We are together now, and working on recovering in a safe space. We are focusing on healing for everyone involved," Allen wrote.

He continued, "We ask you to join us in our effort to move from confusion and shock to compassion and empathy. We understand this act of violence can be triggering for so many people. To all of the fans, veterans, and first responders in our global community we are thinking of you all. Together with love, we can all get through these difficult times."

The drummer was allegedly attacked by 19-year old Max Edward Hartley, according to Fort Lauderdale Police.

Hartley was arrested and charged with two counts of battery, four counts of criminal mischief, and one count of abusing an elderly or disabled adult after lunging at the musician "at a full run" while outside of the Four Seasons hotel.

According to Rolling Stone, the drummer, who lost an arm following a car accident in 1984, "reportedly hit his head on the ground causing injury."

Hartley, who was allegedly watching Allen from "behind a pole" before the attack, hit another woman who tried to help the musician and fled the scene after repeatedly attacking her.

YES Postpone 2023 Relayer European, U.K. Tour

YES have announced that they are postponing their 2023 Relayer European and U.K. tour due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the band's control.

"YES and their management have explored every possible avenue to arrange insurance cover for the tour in the event of COVID-related exemption or Act of War exclusion. The insurance industry has withdrawn all such insurances which made touring possible pre-COVID and before the Ukraine conflict," the band said in a statement.

YES said that with a view to supporting venues and crew, they toured the U.K. in 2022 by paying a premium to cover against terrorism but added that the band "simply cannot undertake such a large-scale tour with so many risks being uninsured."

YES says insurance coverage was promised for events in 2023 but this has now been withdrawn until 2024, with confirmations of normality in 2024 following representations to the insurance industry to reassess its attitudes to COVID and Act of War insurance.

"Bands at some levels can mitigate against these risks but YES' touring model creates unjustifiable levels of risk," the band added.

The band has also decided to cancel the 2023 Eventim Apollo (London) show and is refunding tickets. The remainder of the tour dates are being rescheduled to 2024 with new dates to be announced shortly. All tickets will remain valid.

"YES wish to express their sincere regrets to their faithful fans and ask for their understanding. The band has now received the necessary assurances for 2024 and is committed to returning to the stage then," the statement says.
