When questioned about the possibility by the Boston Globe last week, Hawkes said, "I hate to be vague, but I really can't say. It's a crazy world."

The Cars broke up in 1988. This was followed by the death of original bandmember Benjamin Orr, who died in 2000 of pancreatic cancer. In 2005, Elliot Easton and Greg Hawkes joined with Todd Rundgren, Prairie Prince and Kasim Sulton to form the New Cars.

Terence Winter - who previously wrote and produced for The Sopranos - and Jagger are expected to produce the series. Scorsese will direct. The film will feature guest appearances from Bill Clinton, Jack White and others.

The centerpiece of the collection displays Bon Jovi stretched out on a bed nuzzling four topless women.

They were meant to be publicity shots for the tour but were never used.

The pictures are available in Bozzett's new memoir on Bon Jovi called Sex, Drugs and Bon Jovi, which hit stores this week. It wasn't until after Marino died, however, that Bon Jovi was nervous about the photo being leaked.

In the book Bozzett writes, "A panic-stricken Jon Bon Jovi immediately called up Doc [McGhee, his manager] to tell him that we needed to track down the pictures as soon as possible."

A spokesperson of Bon Jovi said: "This is an outtake of a photo shoot. Everyone should be so lucky at 22 years old."
